Validation of entitlement, computation of pension and submitting application
Certain periods spent abroad count towards the entitlement to a German pension. If you are resident in another Member State or Contracting State, you may submit your application for a German pension with the insurance agency of that particular state and still be sure the application is made within the prescribed periods. The computation of the pension is governed by the principle that each of the Member States or Contracting States pays out in respect of the periods pertaining to it and according to its statutory provisions.
